Here's an interesting vintage scenic postcard featuring a statue of General George G. Meade, mounted on a horse, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The description reads: "As Commander of the Army of the Potomac, General Meade was in charge of the Union Army at Gettysburg. This memorial erected by his home state of Pennsylvania, occupies the position taken by his men who repulsed the great charge of Pickett and his Virginia troops."

The card is identified as "Tichnor Gloss" Quality Views, made only by Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston 15, Mass. It was Published by L. E. Smith, Wholesale Distributor, Gettysburg, Pa. It carries the identification code "G64222".

Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"

Date: Not dated, but probably from the 1950s.

Condition: Good, I'd say. The card is unused, with very only slight edge wear. However, the back has a large patch of foxing at the lower left corner. (Please see scans.)

MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
