Here's an interesting vintage postcard featuring a sponge auction being held at the old Sponge Exchange in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The color photo is credited to Ted Lagerberg.
The card is identified as "Koppel Color Cards", Hawthorne, New Jersey, and "Florida Natural Color, Inc.", Miami 69, Fla. It is marked as number "53184" and carries the identification code "FNC 4358".
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Not dated, but probably from the 1950s.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is unused, with very only slight edge wear. The back shows a little bit of foxing along the edges. (Please see scans.)
