Description: Here's a nice vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from the Jack Tar Hotels chain, which claimed to be "The Ultimate in Fine Living", "For Your Business or Vacation Pleasures". Their hotels were also "Home of The Famed Sugar 'N Spice Coffee Shops.
The inside lists the names and locations of the chain's properties in Florida (Fort Harrison Hotel, Clearwater; Jack Tar Hotel in the Keys, Marathon), North Carolina (The Grove Park, Ashville), South Carolina (Francis Marion Hotel, Charleston), and Texas (Jack Tar Hotel, Galveston; Jack Tar Orange House, Orange).

Date: Not dated, but I believe it's from the 1970s
Condition: Just good, I'd say. The cover is just a bit soiled but the reddish color on the front appears to be somewhat faded. The striker strip area has some damage, likely from rough removal of the staple that held the matches. There's also an additional set of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
