Description: Here's a nice vintage standard-sized matchbook cover advertising the Charles Sumner Boutique, located on Newbury Street in Boston, Massachusetts and Beacon St. in Brookline, Massachusetts. The back of the cover carries the slogan: "Crown Jewels in Footwear".
The inside claims the boutique was "BOSTON'S SMARTEST SHOP FOR SEPARATES". It lists the addresses and phone numbers for both locations. The phone numbers are given in the old style as "KEnmore 6-6225", "KEnmore 6-6146", and "ASpinwall 7-1010".

Date: Not dated, but the old-style phone numbers probably date it to the 1950s (or perhaps early 1960s).
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is just a bit soiled, but there's some damage in the striker strip area, due to rough removal of the staple that originally held the matches. There are also a couple extra sets of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
