Description: Here's a nice standard matchbook cover from The Steinbeck House, a restaurant located in John Steinbeck's childhood home on Central Avenue in Salinas, California. It only serves lunch, from 11:45 - 1:15, and is operated by the Valley Guild.
There's no printing on the inside.
It was produced by The Thos. D. Murphy Co., Red Oak, Iowa
Actual Size: approx. 1.5" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but I believe it's from the late 1980s. (The drawing of the building on the front of the matchbook is © 1974.)
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The cover is quite clean and the striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.)
