SERIES: Birds and Miscellany

This is one of a series of 50 cards issued by Arbuckles' in the 1880's depicting birds (#51-#69) and other miscellaneous subjects (#70-#100), and advertising their "Ariosa" coffee. This one has a pair of yellow birds, probably canaries, in a comfortably lined wire-basket next.

The back carries Arbuckles' familiar "4 Points" sales pitch.

SIZE: 5" x 3"

DATE: Not dated, but likely late 1880s

LITHOGRAPHER: Not identified

CONDITION: Just fair, I'd say, but perhaps it can serve as a space-filler in your collection until a better copy comes along. The card is a bit soiled and the margins of all four sides have been trimmed slightly. The front has a couple tiny scrapes and one longer strip of surface paper loss, along the center portion of the left edge. (Please see scans.)

MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
