Here's a very nice unused postcard featuring a San Francisco cable car ascending Hyde St. with Alcatraz Island in the background.
The description on the back reads:
Several cable car routes are used on famed San Francisco hills. The cable car was invented in this city by Andrew Hallidie in 1873. They are a reminder of the Victorian age in San Francisco and perform a service in this modern age. B15307-Color Photo: Sandor Balatoni
The card was produced by the Smith Novelty Co. of San Francisco and Mike Roberts Color Productions of Oakland. It bears number "S-23".
Size: approx. 4" x 6"
Date: Not dated, but I think the card is from the 1970s.
Condition: Fine, I'd say, with minimal edge wear but with a small crease across the lower right corner. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
