Description: Victorian Greeting Card - "WISHING YOU A BRIGHT AND HAPPY NEW YEAR"
Here's a pretty vintage card "Wishing you a bright and happy New Year". It features a white dove and a bundle of pink and white flowers.
The back has a long verse, offering "... a blessing for every child."
Size: approx. 6½" x 4¾"
Date: Not dated (except for handwritten "Jan 1 / 86")
Lithographer: Not identified.
Condition: Good, I'd say. This card is lightly soiled on the front, with a bit of glue staining on the back. The top edge.is a bit rippled and the corners are slightly rounded, except for the lower left, which has been nipped off. There's a large scrape just to the left of the large red flower, and a smaller scrape to the right of the smaller flower. A handwritten 'Auntie Aurilla Jan 1 / 86" occupies the white paper in bird's beak. (Please see scans.)
