Victorian Trade Card - CLARK'S O.N.T. SPOOL COTTON THREAD
Nice, large scenic card on heavy stock showing a pretty pastoral scene identified as "PIKE'S PEAK, FROM COLORADO SPRINGS, COL.". It shows a broad, tree-lined approach to what looks like a large hotel at the base of Pike's Peak. There are a couple of horse-drawn wagons in the foreground and what appears to be a train track running down the middle of the road.
The back advertises Clark's O.N.T. Crochet Cotton, Clark's O.N.T. Darning Cotton, Milward's Helix Needles, and Marshall's Linen Threads.
Size: approx. 5" x 7½"
Date: Not dated.
Lithographer: Forbes Co., Boston
Condition: Generally good, I'd say. The card is only lightly soiled with slightly worn edges. There's a large diagonal crease across the lower right corner and smaller creases across the other three. The back has some glue residue, a couple of areas of surface paper loss, and a surface tear. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
