Here's a very pretty antique postcard apparently designed to resemble an oval painting, matted within a fancy green frame. It features a young woman in a row boat on a lake, with some sort of stone building or bridge in the background. The "matte" area has a pebbly texture and is embossed. The card is entitled "Summer-time".
The back states that the card belongs to the "NATIONAL SERIES" and was "Made in Gt. Britain". It is "No. SV294".
The card was postmarked from St. Louis, Missouri, on February 19, 1911, and is addressed to a Mrs. Dena Mueller in Chesterfield, Mo. from someone name Georgie.
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Postmarked 1911 but the card itself has no copyright date.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. It's obviously postally used but is only lightly soiled, with just slightly worn edges and corners. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
